Excellent weekend!

I’m currently trying to exit the camping field at 0830 on Monday, but not sure when the gates will be unlocked. I’ve spent a long time looking without success for a phone number for someone to contact to find out when the gates will be unlocked.

In an emergency shouldn’t there be a phone number to contact if an ambulance or other vehicle needs to get in at night?

Thanks for a superb weekend, Keith

Wonderful Weekend with great callers and fabulous bands. I would love for there to be enough herbal teas to last the whole weekend, some of us don't drink black tea.
Many thanks for all your hard work!
Mecki replied:
There were herbal teas left over! I took them home. Like you, I don't drink 'normal' tea.
Maybe they were just not in the right place!
If there's anything missing, just ask a steward, they should be able to find it.

Great festival. So well organised and enjoyable. Thank you for all your hard work.
I would like to comment on the lanyards . Unfortunately l could not read the names on the lanyards.
Script has to be big for just the Christian name please. I would like to call some people by their first name and don't need their surname.
Thank you Ursula

Thanks for your feedback.
Maybe a good compromise would be to have the full name on one side (there may be 10 Davids on site) and just the first name — in a large font — on the other?

This was my first folk festival & I found the whole thing absolutely amazing & so much fun.The workshops were brilliant. I was particularly in to American dancing & squares.Geoff Cubitt was my favourite caller. He was amusing but clear & anything he was involved in I wanted to be there.
I also enjoyed the waltz workshop with John Sweeney & 'Keeping Thyme'.
The Becket workshop with Contra Sutra were also good. I have to say….what a band!
The food was good, the parking adequate & the whole weekend was an absolute success for me. The only criticism……some of the American dances were a trifle long. I have to admit to breathing a sigh of relief when some of them ended but to be fair I am not an old timer.
Most of all the things I enjoyed the most was the people who attended. I seemed to make so many friends & look forward to seeing these people again when I attend my next adventure.
Mecki replied:
I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the festival.
I totally understand how you feel about doing an American dance about 13 times through.  I feel exactly the same.
Sometimes the caller gets distracted, looking at the next dance, sometimes they just like seeing people enjoying themselves; perhaps we all need to put on really bored faces after the ninth time through? Maybe they'd notice then?
It's one of those things.
