May Heydays at Evesham:
Thanks

Thank you for your Support!

This, our (potentially) first year at Evesham, has been very challenging.

As a new committee we have given our all and have always tried to have the dancers' interests at heart — which is why, in the end, we were forced to cancel.

We wish to thank you, our supporters, for all the lovely emails you sent to us in response to our situation.

I think it's appropriate to share some of those words with you:

Speaking for myself I would like to reassure you that I see no offence or upset but only people who are trying their best to deal with unprecedented circumstances.  Thank you for your hard work.
Following your clarification of the legal position, I confirm that I am perfectly content to contribute the amount you have proposed as a contribution to your irrecoverable costs, to be taken by a deduction from the full ticket price that you are rolling over to next year for me.
I thought it was very sensible of you and the committee to spread the cost over everyone rather than asking a few generous people to contribute a lot.
My husband and I are very happy to accept the refund you proposed incorporating the agreed deduction.
I'm so sad you have been made to feel you have to apologise when you have done such a very good job under such a deluge of difficult circumstances.
Please be assured that you are very welcome to keep what you have deducted.
It is surprising how easily things can get so complicated.  I am so glad that I am not keeping the books!  Please do whatever you wish with my ticket money and, at some remote date (maybe with the booking form for 2021), we can assess what may be outstanding to pay for next year.
Just wanted to say thank you for keeping us all well informed and for all the hard work you have put in to organising this festival.  Your organisation and clarity of information were outstanding from the start, especially the website, and you had obviously put together an excellent line up.  Even when the government threw a spanner in the works by changing the Bank Holiday plans, you adapted and altered the programme, but we all know there is nothing anyone can do in the face of a pandemic.
At least I know that I already have a great event to look forward to in 2021.  Many thanks for all your efforts
Looking forward to dancing again when we come out the other side of this!
